The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced today that they would be considering revoking the “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) status of trans fats.  Trans fats have been continually removed from the US food supply over the past 20 years voluntarily by food manufacturers, but they are still prevalent in many foods such as crackers, cookies, donuts, etc. You can read more about the story here.

OmegaQuant can measure the percentage of trans fatty acids in red blood cells, which indicates the level of trans fats in your diet. Order the Omega-3 Index Full Profile test today!
