Is my saturated fatty acid level related to the saturated fats in my diet?

- Saturated fatty acids in your red blood cell membranes are not related to the saturated fat you consume in your diet. Typically, saturated fat in your diet raises blood cholesterol levels. Our tests look at specific patterns of fatty acids and not the specific amount of cholesterol in your bloodstream.
